"Heron Pharma" Scholarship Awarding Ceremony and Joint Lab Opening between China Pharmaceutical University-Heron Pharma
Mar. 24th, 2021, "Heron Pharma" Scholarship awarding ceremony and the opening ceremony of China Pharmaceutical University-Heron pharmaceutical joint laboratory were held in the lecture hall 107, Academic Exchange Center, Xuanwumen campus of China Pharmaceutical University. Yu Guangcong, Vice President of China Pharmaceutical University, YAO Hequan, Director of Science and Technology Department, Zhangcan Can, Dean of Pharmaceutical Science College, A Jiye, Deputy Dean of Pharmaceutical Science College, Chao Yang, Chairman of Heron Pharma, Ye Hai, General manager and Xing Jianwei, Deputy General Manager of Heron Pharma attended the ceremony. Tao Renren, CCP Deputy Secretary of the Pharmaceutical Science College, presided over the meeting.
Heron Pharma donated "Heron Pharma Scholarship" and "Heron Pharma Student subsidies" to encourage students of China Pharmaceutical University studying hard, assiduously, running after the truth and innovation. 14 students were awarded and inspired to move forward the drug research and development with the Motto of “Jingye Jiqun” (Be Proficient in Major then Reward the World).
In addition, China Pharmaceutical University and Heron Pharma built a joint laboratory. At the beginning of 2021, Heron Pharma’s first commercialized drug - Haifurun® Tacalcitol Ointment was self-developed, of which the preliminary study was born in the research team of Professor Zhang Can. Created based on this solid cooperation, the joint lab represents the unremitting pursuit on R&D and innovation of Heron Pharmaceutical, and it also represents the trust and support of China Pharmaceutical University to Heron Pharma.
Professor Zhang Can introduced that the joint experiment will mainly engage in non-clinical research in the industrialization of new technologies, new products, new dosage forms and scientific and technological achievements such as biological drugs (cell therapy technology, gene therapy drugs, etc.), chemical drugs and pharmaceutical excipients. Through all-round technical cooperation and talent training, we can realize complementary advantages and common development. At the same time, General Manager Ye Hai also said enterprises should not cooperate with the university with the idea of borrowlism, but should work as the handover of relay race. The cooperation in between should be developed jointly, and then the complementary advantages and co-development will achieve.
As an alumnus of China Pharmaceutical University, chairman Chao Yang reviewed his personal study experience and the entrepreneurial process of Heron, encouraging the students adhere to their dreams. Finally, Vice-president Yu Guangcong thanked Heron Pharma for the donation and congratulated the prize-awarded students. He hopes the students seize the opportunity to broaden visions, enrich experience, improve ability and make their dreams come true as soon as possible. At the same time, he appreciated the efforts of two parties to create the joint lab. He wishes Heron Pharma and CPU will take this activity as the starting point for further cooperation and exchanges in between, create a model of integration of business and education, jointly contribute wisdom and strength to China's pharmaceutical industry and human health.
